Where I've Been and Where I'm Going

This post deserves more time and effort to actually catalog what I have been up to but here is where I am thus far in a quick list

Summer of raw turned into about roughly 2 months of eating only raw fruits and vegetables.
Meditation is my best friend
Completed my thesis proposal for Sociology, received my data for the thesis, ran stats and am currently writing up my results and conclusion. IE I am on my way to the finish line.
On a similar note just started my proposal for Women's Studies and am working vehemently on completing that
Studying for GRE...going for the goal!
Picked out Ph. D programs and am working on my applications

Oh and as for the weight I currently am at 162 lbs. Let's just say that while I was raw I was steadily dropping some pounds. Then when I had my emotional break with food, I went a little nuts and just ate all kinds of things. Still vegetarian but Cinnamon rolls can be vegetarian...pizza, pasta, and nachos are vegetarian....I think you get the picture. So before school started I decided it was time to clean things up. I went and had a colonic which I will post more about later. Afterwards I basically just ate raw fruit and vegetable juices for three days. Totally cleaned out my system and now I'm back on the feeling good path. I also took back to running/jogging/walking every morning. BEST DECISION EVER. So I am in a good place and looking to only see things get better.

I feel compelled though to write here again because of my intense interest that has been building in environmental justice and action. I subscribed to Netflix and have been filling my days listening to documentaries while I write. I realize that much of the information may be propaganda but honestly I think they accomplished their purpose of making people rethink their lives and the ways they have been living.

Have I mentioned I have not eaten cheese in almost 2 weeks? Cheese is my weakness I LOVE it. Yet, with the work I've done on getting back to feeling like myself, cheese is just not a part of that equation for me. Then I read the novel "My Year of Meats" by Ruth Ozeki for my Ecofem class and in working towards putting together the information for my Women's Studies thesis I just cannot reconcile the consumption of certain foods mentally right now. So yes. Time to write. To to record. Let us see where this goes.
